Sprite Strip Studio turns PNG, JPEG or WebP frames into a uniform-grid sprite sheet. Work locally in one HTML file, without an account, subscription, server or paid API.

From frames to a sheet

• Arrange up to 128 frames with reorder arrows and natural filename sorting.
• Center differently sized images in equal-size cells without cropping.
• Set columns, transparent gaps and outer padding.
• Scale 1–4 times with nearest-neighbor sampling.
• Preview looping animation at 1–60 frames per second.
• Save a PNG and matching JSON with image rectangles, cell positions, frame order and FPS.
• Try the original eight-frame sprout demo, usable in personal or commercial projects without attribution.

Open locally, keep your files

Extract the ZIP and open Sprite Strip Studio.html in a current desktop browser. Tested in desktop Microsoft Edge. Keep your source files: sessions are not saved when the page closes. The software makes no network requests.

Know the limits

This uses a uniform grid, not tight texture packing. No trimming, rotation, extrusion, GIF/video export or automatic engine integration. Animated imports use only the browser-decoded frame. Maximum output: 8192 pixels per side and 16 megapixels. Import limits: 20 MB per file, 4096 pixels per side and 32 million decoded pixels total. Other browsers and mobile are untested.

Included and usage rights

The ZIP includes the standalone HTML, instructions, usage license and editable source. Use your exported sheets in personal and commercial projects, subject to the rights in your input artwork. The tool itself may not be redistributed as a standalone product.

AI disclosure

AI assistance was used for code, text and demo/promotional graphics. The application does not use an AI service. Only import artwork you have permission to use; your imports keep their original rights.
